IBEX Continues Expansion with New Center in Kingston, Jamaica

Ibex is now occupying three floors in the Digicel headquarters building

Kingston, Jamaica Ibex, a leading provider of contact center services and other business process outsourcing (BPO) solutions, has opened a new center in the heart of Kingston, located in the Digicel building at 14 Ocean Boulevard. Ibex currently employs over 600 people at the new location.

“Our new center, which we have named Ibex Waterfront, gives us the ability to add 1200 more employees to our existing base of over 2,000, who are currently employed in Portmore,” said Bob Dechant, CEO of Ibex. “We will soon have over 3,000 employees between both locations in just 18 months since the opening of our Portmore center.”

“Our new location is located right on the water with beautiful views of the harbor. The building itself is the most energy efficient on the island and everything inside and out is state of the art,” said Dechant. “We have a great partnership with Digicel as they have been very accommodating and welcoming throughout the entire process.”

Ibex occupies the first, second, third and fourth floors of the Digicel headquarters totaling over 40,000 square feet. The 11-story building opened in 2013 and offers a food court within the facility but also has a gym, pharmacy, first aid station and other amenities in the annex adjacent to the building.

In 2016, Ibex opened their current location in Portmore which recently expanded by an additional 23,000 square feet. The company continues to work towards the goal of hiring over 5,000 in Jamaica.

Jamaica offers a business-friendly environment and a large, educated labor pool which Ibex has found resonates with clients. The company will continue to explore additional expansion opportunities.
